Tadpole Garden Village resident, Chris Tanner, has become PREIM’s community mobiliser for the Crest Nicholson development in Swindon.

Joining the PREIM team, Chris brings with him a wealth of local knowledge having lived in the Swindon area for over 30 years.

Having previously worked as Media & Communications Manager at Swindon Town Football Club, Chris now works in the education sector and aims to assist in helping establish the new and emerging community at Tadpole Garden Village.

“Being a resident at Tadpole Garden Village myself, it’s really exciting to be so heavily involved in the community.

“As community mobiliser I’ll be working with residents, the community interest company (CIC) and other stakeholders such as other nearby communities, the local authority and Crest Nicholson.

“Really, it’s my job to be a champion for the community.”

Explaining what he is most looking forward to in the role, Chris explained, “not only is Tadpole Garden Village a new development but it’s also a new community and this is a new role. That’s a huge advantage: everything’s fresh and nothing is set in it’s ways. It means I can mould the role to what people want from a community mobiliser here.”

Having moved to the development at the end of June 2016, Chris became community mobiliser earlier this month (September). High on the agenda for Chris is meeting with the newly formed CIC and putting together a calendar of events for Tadpole Garden Village residents.

Residents can get in touch with Chris through the Tadpole Garden Village forum. The forum is there for residents to use, whether it’s to promote an upcoming event, put forward a topic for the CIC to discuss or to simply get to know your neighbours. You can access the forum here by entering your PREIM residents’ login.
