A Strong Start to The Season for Forge Wood Cricket Club

Earlier this year, we were really pleased to support the club through a community sponsorship package, which has helped contribute towards its continued growth and development.

Our sponsorship included funding support which the club has since invested in new training equipment, including mobile practice nets to help players continue developing their skills.

It’s an exciting time for Forge Wood Cricket Club. The team has gone from strength to strength after a successful 2025 season and started this year with new players, new equipment and plenty of ambition.

The players’ hard work is already paying off, with the First XI sitting near the top of the league table and enjoying a strong run of results.

Behind every successful grassroots club, is always a huge amount of hard work from volunteers, coaches and committee members. The dedication shown by everyone involved at Forge Wood CC is clear to see, and it's been fantastic to watch the club continue to grow.

As Oliver Taylor, our Regional Director, explains:

"Community clubs like Forge Wood CC play such an important role locally. They're about much more than sport – they bring people together, make use of green space, create social opportunities and help build lasting community spirit. We're delighted to support the club and look forward to following their progress throughout the season."
