From festive get-togethers to sports sponsorships and creative competitions, we pitched in wherever we could and are delighted to have contributed over £16,000 to a brilliant mix of local events, celebrations, and important causes that all brought people together.
Regional Director, Oliver Taylor said, “We treat every estate we manage as its own unique community, and we know that communities thrive when people feel supported, connected, and proud of where they live. That belief is at the heart of everything we do. It’s why we’re passionate about putting resources back into the places we look after and why we take an active role in helping to create opportunities for residents to come together.”
“By funding and getting involved in local events, we’re doing more than simply helping to organise activities - we’re helping to build stronger bonds between neighbours, creating moments that spark conversation, and encouraging a shared sense of belonging. These are the small but meaningful things that turn estates into places people are happy to call home.”
In the spring, festivities bloomed and we supported an Easter Egg Hunt at Leybourne Grange. Thorney Meadows joined in the creative fun with an Easter Art Competition, and we were delighted to contribute towards the well-earned prizes.
As summer arrived, vibrant estate events took centre stage. Burgoyne Heights hosted a Fun Day, while we helped Kingsgrove’s Summer Fete get off to a roaring start with a raffle prize donation. At Houlton, we contributed to the estate’s Summer Fun Day, and Kilnwood Vale’s Summer Fair also received support. Barking Riverside benefited from a donation to aid their local residents’ newspaper, and Locking Parkland’s local scout group received funds to help a special trip get underway.
Our support extended into broader community sponsorships as well. We proudly sponsored local grass roots teams and Wantage Town FC, as well as helping our housebuilder partner Crest Nicholson raise funds for a fantastic cause, Young Lives Vs Cancer. Other contributions included support for Tadpole Farm Academy’s fireworks event so it could go off with a bang!
Autumn brought commemorative and community-centred gestures. We were delighted to contribute to Tadpole Garden Village’s lamppost poppies in honour of Remembrance Day. At Kilnwood Vale, we got involved in spooky Halloween celebrations.
The festive season marked our most substantial investment, with funds allocated toward Christmas trees across various estates. Other holiday initiatives included support for the beloved Santa’s Grotto at Hunts Grove.
Oliver added, “We’re proud to be leading the way in our sector by putting community at the centre of our work. For us, supporting residents in this way isn’t just good practice; it’s an essential part of responsible and thoughtful estate management.”
We look forward to continuing this important work in the years ahead. A huge thank you to our estate teams and residents for making all this possible!
