Two of our most vibrant communities - Tadpole Garden Village and Kingsgrove - came alive with festive cheer as residents, local groups, and estate teams joined forces to enjoy Christmas celebrations.
At Tadpole Garden Village, the community spirit truly shone through. An event expertly organised by TGV Events, a dedicated group of residents passionate about bringing the community together, delivered a brilliant festive atmosphere. Complimentary mulled wine and mince pies added a welcome touch of warmth to the crisp winter evening.
One of the evening’s standout moments came courtesy of Jade Young, a talented Tadpole resident, whose live performance filled the square with music. We were delighted to donate and install the centrepiece of the event – a Christmas tree for the whole community to enjoy. As the countdown to the Christmas tree light switch-on began, hundreds of neighbours gathered, making the evening an impressive community Christmas gathering.
Over at Kingsgrove, the Kingsgrove Community Collaboration Group (KCCG) brought festive joy in the form of an interactive nativity, with local children taking on starring roles in a retelling of the Christmas story.
We also donated a large Christmas tree for residents of Kingsgrove and installed it right in the heart of the development, adding a festive focal point to the celebrations. Wantage Silver Band provided a Christmas soundtrack of traditional carols, all building up to the grand switch-on of the Christmas tree lights, ending the evening on a high.
Reflecting on both events, Tom Tracy, Estate Manager, shared:
“These celebrations are a testament to the power of community. It’s inspiring to see residents come together to create such memorable experiences. We’re proud to support and celebrate the energy, creativity, and togetherness that make Tadpole Garden Village and Kingsgrove such special places to live.”
Both events highlight how community-led collaboration and estate partnerships can bring festive magic, and connection, to neighbourhood life.
