Resident Surgeries: turning feedback into action

Resident Surgeries are designed to ensure effective two-way communications and this one was no exception. The event was extremely busy, with residents taking the opportunity to speak directly with our team, raise questions and share feedback on key estate matters.

Preim was represented on the day by Estate Managers Abigail Morton, Michael Westwood and Lisa Walker, alongside Andrew Bingham from the estate’s Travel Planning team, who was available to respond to queries around local transport and connectivity.

A number of common themes came through, including questions around recent service charge increases and how charges differ between phases. As a result, we are now updating our FAQ document to provide clearer, more detailed information for all property owners.

There was also strong interest in the Residents’ Steering Committee, with follow-up contact already underway for those who expressed an interest in getting involved.

Other topics raised included travel planning, speeding traffic, street lighting and the future school site, all of which are now being followed up with the relevant stakeholders to ensure residents’ concerns are properly addressed.

As Abigail Morton, Estate Manager, explains:

“Resident surgeries like this are really valuable. They give people the chance to speak to us directly, and just as importantly, they help us understand what matters most so we can act on it.”

For those who weren’t able to attend, support is still available. Residents can always contact our helpdesk directly, and we can arrange follow-up calls or meetings where needed.

We’ll also be building on this with a summer resident event, with more details to follow.

For us, structured engagement isn’t just about communication, it’s about listening, responding and turning any feedback into action.
