Supporting community events as developments grow

Have you got any Easter chocolate left? Us neither.

While Easter may have passed, a recent community Easter Egg Hunt is still fresh in our memory, and it highlights the value of strong local partnerships - particularly on growing developments.

At one of the estates we manage, we worked closely with the local Parish Council to support their annual Easter Egg Hunt, a well-established event that brings together residents, local businesses and the wider community each year.

We contributed a VTech Toot-Toot Drivers Fire Station Playset as one of the children’s prizes as well as supporting the wider event, helping to create a well-attended afternoon with family activities, food stalls and the all-important Easter Egg Hunt.

With nearly 700 homes already in place and further expansion planned on this particular estate, maintaining a strong sense of community becomes increasingly important as communities grow.

Working with Parish Councils and local stakeholders helps ensure developments don’t just expand physically, but continue to feel connected and well-integrated into the surrounding area.

As Abigail Morton, Estate Manager, explains:

“As developments expand, it’s important that their communities grow with them. Events like these are a simple but effective way to bring people together, and we were proud to contribute to the success of the day.”

Feedback from the Parish Council on this most recent event, highlighted the strength of local engagement, with a strong turnout and support from residents, sponsors and local businesses.

This is how our team approaches estate management. We go beyond run-of-the-mill estate maintenance and are committed to supporting initiatives like these that help our local communities thrive.
