Improving safety & boundary definition

We recently completed the installation of a new boundary fence at one of our managed estates.

The original fencing had fallen into poor condition, reducing its effectiveness in clearly defining the boundary between public and private areas. This created both a visual issue and a potential risk, particularly where the estate meets public footpaths and highways.

To address this, a full replacement programme was carried out, and a new fence has now been installed along a key boundary line, separating communal estate land from surrounding public areas.

Clearly defined boundaries help improve security and privacy for residents, while also ensuring that public access routes remain safe and appropriately separated from managed land – so this type of work plays a really important role in overall estate management.

The works involved removing the existing fencing, installing a new, more durable structure, and ensuring alignment across the full boundary to create a consistent and high-quality finish.

Oliver Masters, one of our Estate Managers, explains:

“Replacing the fence wasn’t just about improving appearance, it was about making sure the boundary is clearly defined and safe for both residents and the public.”

The result is a safer, more secure environment, with a clear distinction between estate land and public areas, alongside a noticeable improvement in the overall presentation of the development.

Our team’s targeted approach with this project has improved the long-term safety of the site, reduced boundary risk and helped improve the appearance of the overall development for residents.
