At one of our managed estates, we recently completed a series of fence repairs across multiple areas of the development where wear and tear had begun to affect the overall appearance.
Rather than addressing issues individually as they arose, we took a coordinated approach, identifying all areas requiring attention and delivering the works as part of a wider repair programme.
This ensured a consistent standard was applied across the development, rather than a patchwork of isolated fixes.
From a management perspective, boundary treatments like fencing play an important role in how an estate is presented. Damaged or inconsistent fencing can quickly impact the overall appearance of a development and, if left unresolved, can lead to further deterioration over time.
Our team did a great job assessing the condition of existing fencing, instructing contractors to carry out repairs and replacements where required, and ensuring that finishes and materials were co-ordinated across all affected areas.
Tatum Michaels-Carter, Estate Manager, explains: “It’s often the smaller details like fencing that make a big difference to how an estate looks and feels. Taking a coordinated approach means we can maintain a consistent standard across the whole development.”
The result is a noticeable improvement in the overall presentation of the estate, ensuring it remains a place residents are proud to call home.
This is a simple but effective example of how proactive, coordinated maintenance helps protect both the appearance and long-term value of a development.
